Anthony ("Coop")

Anthony, better known as “Coop,” has been driven by his life experiences and has used them to accelerate his career in helping others. He works closely with local and national non-profits, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, and local law enforcement to develop community relations. He also collaborates with the City of Madison Mayor and the Dane County Executive to improve local reentry efforts, developing violence reduction strategies, and utilizing non-violent de-escalation training methods.
In 2019, Anthony received the Dane County Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award for his work in re-entry and violence intervention and prevention services. He also serves as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Reentry Services at Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development.
A loving husband and father of two sons, he believes Focused Interruption’s work is imperative to Madison.
