Sheray Wallace

community safety worker

Originally from Chicago, Sheray is a long-time Meadowood resident, community organizer and activist in the Dane County Area. She brings a wealth of knowledge ranging from youth capacity building, violence intervention, domestic violence support, elderly care, as well as community and medical wrap-around services.

Sheray's passion is eliminating health disparities and is known for her collaborative spirit. She created the Meadowood Health Partnership, which focuses on health education programs related to diabetes, mental health, trauma, and healthy living. She serves as a link between health and social services in the community by providing perspective on proposed health initiatives. Sheray is Madison’s first licensed Community Health Worker and one of the first Community Safety Workers for Focused Interruption.
