A Madison native, Nick spent a decade living in Chicago where he received his Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago, specializing in Administration of Community Gun Violence Prevention Programs. While there, Nick worked or interned at some of the Nation's top violence prevention programs, including Cure Violence (then called Ceasefire), Becoming a Man, and the Rapid Employment and Development Initiative. He also worked as an actor and personal trainer. As a former Madison police officer, Nick is honored to protect and serve his community in a different way by combining his unique knowledge and skillset with the lived experience and professional skills of Focused Interruption’s dedicated staff.
